Grapevine
is a community of old town flavor with a variety of new developments just completed or
just about to begin. The Historical Main Street in downtown Grapevine dates to the turn of
the century. The Grapevine Mills Mall, the second largest outlet shopping mall in the
country, is celebrating its second year. Grapevine is also the home to many popular retail
stores and restaurants. Grapevine is part of the award winning Grapevine-Colleyville
Independent School District, recognized for its high SAT scores, new facilities and high
percentage of students who go on to colleges and universities.
Grapevine is strategically
located between Dallas and Fort Worth and just north of DFW International Airport and
south of Grapevine Lake. Major hotels, including the Marriott Conference Center, surround
the area. Grapevine offers a variety of housing options, with older homes near the
historic district to modern suburban communities, including some properties with lake
views. Everyone needs to take a ride on the restored Tarantula Steam Train, as it runs
daily between Grapevines Historic District and the Stockyards area in Fort Worth.
