Irving
is a vibrant community, ranging from Las Colinas; one of the
Southwests premier business centers (Exxon, GTE, Frito
Lay, Xerox, The Zale Corporation, etc.) to modern master planned
communities of luxury homes, to older established neighborhoods
of moderately priced homes. Irving is a home of young professionals,
with 72% of the population under the age of 40. The Citys
growth is now focused to the north, specifically Las Colinas
(including Hackberry Creek, a gated, golf course community)
and Valley Ranch (Home of the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL and
the Dallas Stars of the NHL). Irving is the annual host to the
PGAs Byron Nelson Golf Tournament. Irving Independent
School District has a reputation for excellence and high quality
modern facilities. While the majority of students attend the
Irving ISD schools, students in the northern part of the city
will attend either Coppell ISD Schools or Carrollton-Farmers
Branch ISD Schools.
