Keller
provides a rural atmosphere amid the rapidly expanding northeast Tarrant county corridor.
City leaders are focused on retaining this image through community planning and an
emphasis on green belts and parks. Lower land costs lend to larger lot sizes. Keller has
experienced a 45% growth in the 1990s. Surrounding the city of some of the fastest
growing business centers in the country; including Alliance Airport, Solana, DFW
International Airport and recently completed Texas Motor Speedway. Although Intel has put
on hold a one billion-dollar facility, they have indicated that they will restart the
project in the near future. Almost 80% of the homes have been constructed within the past
5 years.
Keller
is a young community with over 35% of its population under the
age of 21. Less than 14% of the population is over the age 50.
Keller Independent School District is recognized as one of the
finest in the area and Keller has one of lowest crime rates
in the county.
